| Second Life is a growing 3D online digital world started in 2003. Although some may be quick to call it an online 3D game, the differences are that there is no set goal here and it's contents is being developed by it's residents.
SL is being taken up by enthusiastic creative artesans, progtrammers and venturing enterpreneaurs which are earning real money. The statistics are mind boggling. For the majority of users it is a diversion or a 3D chat used to meet and sometimes hook-up with other users connected from around the "real" world. I could go on and on about SL, but the best way to learn about Second Life it to dive in and experience it. You can register with a FREE Basic Account, you can upgrade to Premium (for a monthly fee) later if desired, but not needed unless you plan to buy virtual land in Linden's mainland areas.
