Santiago Pando, the creative publicist for ex-president Vicente Fox and his presidential campaign ads, makes this heartfelt documentary film about his efforts to change Mexico, using psychic Mayan connections and afterwards being disillusioned by the new cabinet’s policies. When he tried to contact them about abandoning the goals they had promised to enforce, his family was sent on a downward spiral when his mother-in-law is jailed with trumped up charges of trafficking illegal immigrants. A couple of years of legal battles and their spiritual quest produces some insights about the archaic belief system and the coming 2012 Mayan calendar events, he features shaman Don Lauro who speaks about believing with your heart in order to create a shift in consciousness.
